Ich kennte das überhaupt nicht!

dsc01901.jpg Maybe I should have written this post along the past week… Because now the effects of the northern temperatures are really showing up, and I think I’ll need a couple of days in bed to recover :-S But I can still try. First of all is I have no idea in which language I should write this post… The whole week has been a bit like a United Nations summit to me :-D We’ll try a bit of everything, then.

This is an overview of my third trip to Deutschland (see the second one here, in spanish, though), this time to see what conducting lessons looked like in Berlin and Weimar.

1. Tag: Arrival and Fruchtfliegen

Perquè si no m’hauria donat algo.

Allà estaven tots els tòpics corresponents: Lakmé, La Bohème, Tristan, Tchaikovski, The Phantom of the Opera…

After the theater I met Daniela, who I hadn’t seen since the Siena course in July, and who lives in Amelie’s appartment :-) , right in the middle of the city.

2. Tag: UdK and first reunion

On monday I went to see lessons at the Universität der Kunst, with professor Lutz Köhler. From the tiny bit I saw, a great way of teaching, demanding but respectful. The reunion of the day goes for Panagiotis, with whom we have great spaghetti bolognesa for dinner for 3,80 € (!!)

Girls’ night only!

3. Tag: Hanns Eisler and second reunion

The next day I had to complete the berliner chapter of conducting lessons: there was only Hanns Eisler Hochschule left, Daniela’s school. After 6 hours Unterricht without any pause (!) and, of course, everything auf Deutsch, with professor Christian Ehwald, I had learned a lot of things, but I was reaaaaaally tired. So I went home, made tortilla for Daniela and me :-) and after discovering Azureus’ unglaublich fast downoading, I left for Eisenacherstrasse where I met Elias for a drink, a nice chat trying to fix the world, and a second dinner in a greek restaurant. It was great to see you!

4. Tag: Nach Weimar

So I had to leave Berlin to see professor Nicolás Pasquet at the Franz Liszt Hochschule in Weimar. The first part of the journey, from the capital to Leipzig, was beautiful but quite shocking for a Pyrenees-raised person like me… Entschuldigung, wo sind die Berge??! :-D

dsc01898.jpg

I very much enjoy his lesson and then go back home to meet Diego and Chris, once again tortilla dinner! :-)

5. Tag: Der DB Streik

dsc00110.jpg After the morning lessons at the Hochschule (where I get to play the piano for the students, nice!), I start the adventure of going back to Berlin in the middle of the DeutscheBahn strike… But luckily my gorgeous ICEs were all running (see picture, they’re really cool. And expensive :-S) so I got home all right.

For dinner, chicken and vegetables with coconut and curry sauce (really unglaublich in mediterranean diet), and then we visited Dussmann, a bookstore in Friedrichstrasse (“la rue de Frédéric”) which has an enooooormous quantity of sheet music, CDs and DVDs and is open until midnight.

6. Tag: Le petit prince et retour à Barcelonepetit-prince.jpg

After listening to Le petit prince audio-book, there’s not much time left to reach the airport for my flight back home… So in the end I missed my Spaziergang Unter den Linden. Why? Just because I love the sound of that street’s name, you don’t have to translate it into french for it to sound so sweet… =)

Anyway, definitely next time.

So a big Thanks to everyone who made my stay in Germany so nice and comfortable! I hope to see you again soon, and don’t forget to keep me updated on your lives. Merci beaucoup à tous!

Es war ein überhaupt genialen Milieu… =)
